COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Please read and agree before completing membership.
We’re building a purposeful, collaborative space. These guidelines are short, practical, and designed to protect everyone’s ability to work, connect, and create.

P.E.A.C.E. — Our Core

We use PEACE to remember the culture we promise to uphold.

  • P — Professionalism
Maintain a professional, respectful presence. Meet obligations (payments, bookings) and treat the space and people as you would a professional office.
  • E — Empathy
Assume good intent, listen actively, and be kind. Help make the space psychologically safe and welcoming for people from all backgrounds.
  • A — Accountability
Own your commitments: bookings, cleanup, equipment use, noise control. If you break it, fix it — or tell staff immediately.
  • C — Collaboration
Be open to working with others, sharing expertise, and contributing to the community. Invite connection but respect boundaries and consent.
  • E — Excellence
Bring your best: show up prepared, honor time, and contribute positively to the reputation of Connect St. Pete.

General Code of Conduct

Members agree to:

  4. Clean up. Leave communal areas as you found them; clear food/waste promptly; wash dishes.
  5. Protect privacy. Do not record or photograph people without consent. Respect the confidentiality of conversations.
  6. Use equipment responsibly. Treat TV/AV/printing equipment and studio gear with care and follow usage instructions. Report any damage immediately.

  8. Follow legal rules. No illegal activity. No resale of goods/services without prior approval.
  9. Be a good neighbor. Respect surrounding businesses, building rules, and any shared spaces.

Enforcement & Consequences (Progressive, Fair)

We strive for remediation first. Typical enforcement steps:

  2. Written Warning. For repeated or more serious issues, a written warning is issued and recorded.
  3. Probation / Temporary Suspension. Continued issues may result in temporary suspension of membership (e.g., 7–30 days).
  4. Termination. Serious violations (harassment, illegal acts, significant damage) can lead to immediate termination without refund.
  5. Appeal / Mediation. Members can appeal a decision. We will offer mediation within X days of a termination notice.
  6. Legal Action. For theft, property damage, or illegal activity we will involve law enforcement and may pursue damages.

Staff will document all incidents and communications. Reinstatement after termination is at the sole discretion of management and may require conditions (repair, community service, mediation, or payment).
